Together we are recruiting a Workshop Fitter to join the team in Newark, Nottinghamshire. With strong knowledge of plant equipment, the successful applicant will be required to utilise their skills and experience in servicing and repairing plant equipment.

Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct and complete scheduled services or repair work on company manufactured equipment.
  • Responsible for pre delivery inspections, machine overhauls and rebuilds.
  • Communicating with the office coordination team to ensure effective planning and delivery of the service schedule.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and reports.

Required for the role:

  • Ideally, NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and/or NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (those studying towards NVQ Level 2 are also welcome to apply) or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of servicing & repairing plant/construction machinery.

Working Monday to Thursday 08:00am-16:30pm/Friday 15.30pm finish

Salary & Benefits:

Basic Salary £17 per hour, overtime at time & half
