Nova Talent are delighted to be working alongside our client, a world leading provider of Communication Solutions within the Aviation & Defence sectors. Together we are recruiting a Programme Manager to work across both the Bid and Programme Teams, based at the UK Head Office in Market Deeping.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall delivery of programmes in line with the technical, budgetary and schedule requirements.
A bit about what you will be doing:
- Creation of Storyboard aligning with the overall Bid Strategy.
- Review and extraction of requirements from ITT/RFQ/RFP to support bid process.
- Produce schedules for the proposed programmes in conjunction with the team and gain buy-in to that schedule from other functions.
- Gather internal and external costs, minimising costs whilst ensuring delivery.
- Ensure the successful delivery of programmes to technical specification/requirements, budgets and schedule.
- To provide consistency in the programme performance, revenue and cash milestone delivery.
- Review contractual documentation, dealing with any anomalies and issues.
- Create and maintain a Programme Management Plan.
- Monitor progress scheduled with internal stakeholders and initiate any corrective action and schedule amendments as required.
- Agree the schedule with the Project Team and gain buy-in with the Team and Customer.
- Provide regular verbal and written reports to the Programme Delivery Manager and Executive to highlight any potential areas of concern as early as possible.
What we are looking for:
- Be an expert in the use of MS Project to manage cost and schedule adherence is essential.
- Proven experience in program management or a related role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Experience of using various project controls / tools / metrics is essential.
- Experience of software or electronic hardware development.
- Project Management experience and relevant qualification is desirable.
- Experience working with all levels of engineering and technical staff.
- Demonstrable experience in Management of advanced electronic systems or equipment design projects with significant customer interfacing & interaction.
- Sound understanding of contractual T&Cs.
