About this role

We are currently working with a leading supplier of fruit to market and are seeking General farm labourer/Sprayer on a permanent basis to join their expanding team.

The successful candidate will assist with a range of duties involved in the crop production including spraying and herbicide of the crop to a high standard, ensuring that the application of chemicals is carried out in a correct and safe manner, timely and accurate carting and delivery of fruit (and other products/machinery) between locations, mowing, shredding, and other general duties that are reasonable within the individuals capability to perform. The candidate will need to effectively communicate with other members of the team, and ensure they comply with all relevant legislation, and company policy and procedures.

What does the successful candidate look like.

  • An interest in working outdoors
  • Manual handling of equipment and goods
  • Previous experience although desirable is not essential as long as you have a willingness to learn
  • Spray Qualifications desirable although the company will support in the individual gaining these should they not have them.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
  • Happy to work further hours during peak seasons inclusive of some weekends.
