Nova Talent are working with a leading Lincoln-based Property Developer that delivers high quality residential and commercial projects across Lincolnshire. We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join the team based at Head Office.

The Design Manager will work closely with the Design Coordinator and lead the design process through from feasibility layouts to project handover, ensuring that all details are available on time, to everyone that needs them.

Roles/Responsibilities Include:

Working closely with the Design Coordinator to ensure that up to date, accurate and high-quality drawings are ready on time and available to all stakeholders, across a range of sites.

Ensuring that all projects are well designed, cost effective and efficient, and meet all stakeholders requirements.

Assessing, mitigating and managing financial risks connected with design.

Maintaining effective methods of communication between all parties involved, throughout the projects.

Procuring and managing the required design input from external architects, engineers and consultants.

Managing the submission of planning, building control, infrastructure and services applications.

Working with clients on design related matters to ensure that their expectations are met.

Keeping up to date with changing building regulations, planning requirements, health and safety standards, sustainable building standards and industry codes of practice and ensuring that all designs are fully compliant.

Maintaining up to date, clear and easily accessible records throughout the projects.

Providing specific construction details, site plans, legals plans and details for sales and marketing and general design assistance, as required.

Skills Required:

A good team player with strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.

Good design skills and knowledge of current planning, building control, health and safety and sustainable building standards requirements and also good building practices and industry codes of practice.

Strong communication skills when dealing with internal and external resources.

Problem solving skills, creative thinking and strong attention to detail.

Deadline driven and have a proven track record of delivery while displaying commercial awareness.

Experience of working on a variety of new build and refurbishment construction projects.

Good IT skills, including the use of design software.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or 5 years experience as a Design Coordinator or similar

Hours of Work:

8.00am 5.00pm Monday Thursday and 8.00am 3.00pm Friday
