About this role

Nova Talent are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Carpenter to join a family run business that manufactures bespoke luxury Shepherd Huts, based on the outskirts of Lincoln.

Working within a growing, exciting and vibrant business, the successful candidate will be responsible for bringing their customers' visions to life through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. From the initial concept/design phase through to the final finishing touches, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Build and assembly of external frames, insulation, flooring and cladding.
  • Creation, assembly and installation of handcrafted internal furniture and fittings.
  • Installation of joinery components such as windows and doors.
  • Fix hardware and fittings such as hinges, handles, and locks.
  • Painting of internal and external parts such as cladding and furniture.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Delivery and installation of the finish product to the customer.
  • Liaison & relationship building with internal and external stakeholders such as Customers, Electricians and Welders.
  • Key holder (opening/closing of the Workshop) and will have access to a company vehicle.

Key Attributes required for the role:

  • Proven experience and highly skilled in Carpentry/Joinery.
  • Experience of making bespoke kitchens would be advantageous.
  • Welding experience (desirable).
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised carpentry equipment (own tools would be ideal but not essential).
  • Have a keen eye for attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a flexible approach and a desire to take on new responsibilities.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Driving licence with own car is essential.

Further information:

Salary up to £37,440/pa (DOE)

Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm

45 Hours per week, with weekend overtime available
