About this role
We are on the lookout for a commercially driven Head of eCommerce to lead and deliver digital strategies that accelerate online sales and drive B2B and B2R growth. This newly created role is key to the future success of the business and offers the opportunity to shape the ecommerce strategy from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands on, with strong commercial awareness and a data led mindset. You will thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, taking ownership from day one and delivering measurable results.
Duties to include:
- Create and implement digital strategies that align with overall business goals
- Develop tactics to increase online sales, conversion rates and overall revenue within agreed budgets
- Optimise the customer journey to enhance satisfaction, loyalty and repeat business
- Use data and insights to analyse market trends, monitor competitor activity and identify growth opportunities
- Work closely with marketing, sales, IT and operations to ensure a seamless and effective online presence
- Oversee website management, product listings, inventory, pricing and promotional activity
- Lead, support and develop the ecommerce team, driving productivity and delivering against objectives

What we are looking for:
- Proven success leading ecommerce or digital marketing strategies within a similar or related industry (agricultural or amenity sector experience advantageous)
- Experience leading, developing and motivating a team
- Hands on experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify (or similar)
- Strong understanding of digital performance tools including Google Analytics, CRM, email automation and AI driven insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly analytical with a commercial mindset and strong attention to detail
