Together we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Logistics Manager to join the Procurement Team based in the East of England. The role will manage and co-ordinate purchasing of all items bought for resale and to supervise stock control to ensure the most efficient purchasing across the business.

A typical day as an Assistant Logistics Manager:
Ensure stock levels are maintained within optimal parameters for the agricultural, horticultural, and fruit sectors.
Oversee daily stock control operations as necessary.
Collaborate with the Senior Logistics Manager to define ideal stock parameters and determine which products should be stocked or excluded.
Compile and analyse stock movement and activity data.
Continuously monitor and review inventory levels against planned distribution, implementing corrective actions as needed to address potential issues.
Track stock levels in line with business priorities and targets.
Place orders for products and services as negotiated and approved to meet business needs.
Maintain and update the IFS system to ensure accurate stock management.
Regularly review EPS data to ensure the accuracy of records, including data on pricing, stock levels, and stock movement.
Negotiate the best purchasing deals for authorized products.
Attend manufacturer, depot, and team sales meetings as required.
Effectively communicate stock availability and issues to the relevant teams.
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Take a hands-on approach, actively working as a proactive member of the procurement and planning team to support horizontal integration across initiatives.
