Nova Talent are working with an award-winning Plant Machinery Dealership in the recruitment of a General Manager, to join and lead the Team based on the outskirts of Lincoln. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Group, the successful candidate will hold autonomy of the Dealership Division in driving business growth, whilst continuing to motivate the Team and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Create and implement the business forecast and strategy to ensure revenue maximisation, customer engagement and supply.
  • Effectively lead, manage, train and motivate the Sales and Workshop Teams.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager in the promotion of the company brand and service offering within Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
  • Stock management and control checking stock availability, order and replenish where required.
  • Organise and coordinate planned customer services, repairs and breakdowns within the agreed timeframes/service level agreements.
  • Oversee warranty repair work, ensuring documentation alignment with work completed and recharge values.
  • Ensure full compliance with the appropriate Company's Policies, Procedures and Legal/Industry requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with both customers and suppliers, ensuring best in class customer satisfaction.
  • Hold accountability and management of company P&Ls and overall finances.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders such as Administration, Sales and Marketing.

What we are looking for:

  • A strategic thinker, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth by maximising opportunities from existing customers and winning new business.
  • Experience of working within a Dealership environment, preferably within the Construction Industry.
  • Sound understanding of Heavy Plant Machinery.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • An effective negotiator and problem solver with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • Experience of Plant Hire operations would be ideal but not essential.
